Well, hey. Apparently it's not as easy as it looks!
I think I was being too fancy, going for elaborate spin moves and lobs and overhead slams and that sort of thing. In all that, I forgot to just hit the damn ball.
I am really, really impressed with Wii's slot-loading disc tray. Not so much that it works, but that it works so smoothly for GameCube games. No matter where you insert the mini GC disks -- in the middle of the slot, towards the top, towards the bottom -- it grabs hold of them and eases them in smoothly. Love it!
GameCube games start right up, too; although the title information of each isn't displayed (you just get a generic "GameCube game" logo on the menu screen.
Okay, the Wii works. On to PS3.
