Even people living in parts of the world where there is no Fry's Electronics know of its reputation for cheap prices and amazing selection; when I went out with some Australian friends at GDC they wanted to go to Fry's.
I'm sure there is no shortage of gamers planning on lining up outside their local outlet in anticipation of the PS3 and Wii launches. But Kotaku is reporting that they might be in for a shock: when they get inside the store, they might be informed that to buy a PS3 or Wii, they'll have to also buy a whole bunch of games.
Same deal for Wii, says the writer, only it'll be five games instead of eight. Small consolation. We'll see what happens, but if you were planning on camping a Fry's, you might want to do some more investigating into your store's situation.
