My quest for a cellphone in the shape of a shuriken ends now, for safety reasons. Police in Los Angeles killed a chap who tussled with them Sunday after they mistook his mobile for a gun and tried to restrain him.

Capt. Ray Peavy of the sheriff's homicide unit said late Tuesday that Eichenlaub "was clutching his waistband" and "trying to avoid any interaction" with the deputies, raising their suspicions.
