Researchers at the University of Rochester are using principles of computing to understand out how the brain figures out things when there are neurons firing all over the place. How does it see through all this "noise"?

Note that the press release author writes about the brain being "designed." This kind of language sets off creationists who figure that something that was designed needs to have a designer. Is there a better kind of language to use, or is this the best we can do?
