Blu-ray is losing the battle for the hearts and minds of the DVD-consuming pulbic, according to a new survey by Cymfony, a research firm that specializes in gauging public opinion by combing through Web postings.Ps3_large_6_3

After reviewing 17,664 posts from 323 blogs and discussion boards over the last two months, Cymfony found that HD-DVD was garnering 46 percent more "positive discussions" than Blu-ray.

Posters cited a history of failed Sony media formats and a general perception of the company being arrogant. Video game buffs particularly disliked having no choice over whether to pay a few hundred bucks to have a Blu-ray drive in their PlayStation 3.
