Caterina Fake, Industrial Titan

Caterina of FlickR interviewed here. I always like it when successful entrepreneurs say weird stuff along the lines of "you can't start a company now because the situation isn't sufficiently dark and desperate and you might have to pay people who otherwise would work for food." Why do people think that Web 2.0 people are, like, starry-eyed, dot-boomie utopian optimists? They are anything but.
This woman carries on like she and the main squeeze built FlickR out of rusty sheet-metal in a Brazilian favela.

She uses her own product, too! In the tight, social, network-centric world of FlickR, it's all about the dogs and banjos.
