It's seven years old now, but this has still got to be the single most culturally incendiary Bollywood item-number I've yet seen
(and yes, I've seen plenty). It's Sushmita Sen in "Fiza: In Search of Her Brother." The missing brother turns out to be a mujihadeen assassin.
FIZA is an intensely political film, and the problem it was sidling up to and hip-swaying at in 2000 AD is now a problem as big as the world.
Special plus for exceptionally dogged fans of global pop culture: Sushmita Sen performing that same song, "Mehboom Mere,"
but live on stage, and with a pop-song interlude sung by, uh, Sting!
