
Nintendo's worldwide president Satoru Iwata spoke to the Foriegn Correspondents Club of Tokyo earlier today, announcing that the company has shipped a total of one million Wii consoles worldwide. So far, 600,000 units have shipped in the US and 400,000 in Japan.
Iwata also commented on the issues surrounding the Wii-mote's wrist strap:
In other words: "it's their own dumbass fault, and we're going to be more explicit in the future about telling them not to wing the thing around like a goddamn idiot."
