According to a BBC story, MRI scans can pick up signs of future trouble from internal fat -- the kind that doesn't show up when you wear a Speedo:
The big challenge: patients still have to adjust their diet and exercise if they get diagnosed with being a fat person inside. If people don't do that when their obesity is obvious to the world, will the bother when no one can even see it?
