Even after only managing to get slightly less than 200,000 PlayStation 3 units into the North American market last month, Sony is sticking to its guns and saying that they'll have shipped two million PS3s by the end of calendar year 2006, reports Reuters:
At this point, I don't think there's anything much more to say -- we'll have NPD and Media Create numbers for the month of December by this time next month, and we can add them all up to see how it shakes out. If it comes out to two million I will post a public statement of defeat.
