Batman's gadgets. Where to begin? I don't know, but a man by the name of Christopher does. To catch a flavor of his approach, here's the introductory paragraph to his review, or at least part of it:
And so it goes, an Odyssey of research covering every comic (yes, by issue), TV show, movie, novel, game ("BATMAN RETURNS, Atari Lynx, 10 batarangs and 7 vials of acid"), RPG, and goodness knows what else. It is almost Platonic, an expression of love to the very form of the gadget, as wielded by the darkest and most kinky of superheroes.
To quote Jack the Lad: Where does he get those wonderful toys?
And at the end? Utter dedication: a selection of gadgets that should be Batman's, but aren't. ("Nunchaku: Panthro's chuks from Thundercats contain a flamethrower, ice gun, gas emitter, ball bearings, and explosive pellets").
