In case your social plans for next week are flexible, CompUSA is staying open past midnight Tuesday, so a consumer demographic I won't even try
to imagine can get its hands on Windows Vista the minute it's available for sale.
All 230 CompUSA locations will open their doors at midnight, presumably to service the excitable hordes who will be camping out on sidewalks, warmed only by fevered dreams of the Aero interface.
Best Buy plans a more limited version of midnight "madness," with 15 stores opening late.
The chains will also be offering deals on PCs pre-installed with Vista and items upgraders are likely to need, such as tons of memory, new video cards and, if they're smart, cannisters of black market Xanax.
