(((Looks to me like the real takeaway from this piece is "Wikipedia can henceforth survive the destruction of Jimmy Wales," which is an amazing achievement on Wales' part, even if the guy is a Randite "objectivist to the core." He's a simple guy and his motives are clear, but he's nevertheless done something globally important... Jimmy Wales should be publicly recognized and recompensed in some way, gold medals, prizes, statuary... Schools could be named after him, maybe some breed of ant or orchid, "Wisdomofcrowdsia jimmywalesia..." Jimmy Wales is a benefactor to mankind. If we had a thousand Jimmy Waleses we'd be living in some vastly advanced civilization.)))
