Palm announced today that owners of its Treo line of handsets will now gain a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync Update that adds Direct Push to the Palm-based versions of the QWERTY smartphones. This means wireless synchronization for users wanting to keep their old MS-based setup, who hate Palm Desktop, or have everything stashed in Exchange by corporate fiat.
The update will appear at Palm's support site on Monday.
