The TAP-01 Fingerprint Access Control will unlock your door to anyone in possession of your finger, offering a traditional doorbell in addition to the foolproof print-reading biometric security system.
My first thought is of the fingerprint sensor at my local gym, which sits there making annoying "declined" noises while you prod it, until the receptionist curses out the machine for its utter worthlessness and lets you through. The TAP-01, however, claims to read partial prints at any angle, and so will be delighted to accept your drunken slapping in the dead of night. "High-speed verification" is a line-item feature, so there you go.
Diagnostics and configuration is managed from the panel, with more complex screwing around accomplished via a serial cable or IP.
