One of the problems at shows like the 3GSM World Congress is finding out what the smaller exhibitors do so you can skip on past without getting buttonholed for a half hour on the benefits of network maintenance in Ireland.
The big boys are easy; we all know who Nokia and SonyEricsson are, but these other stands are tricky.
Look at the signs, you say? Well, I did. And it made things worse. There are so many mission statements up there that there's no room left to say what they sell.
So here for you now, on the last day of 3GSM, I have a list of some buzzwords from the show. Can you guess what these companies do?
- Adding Ingenuity
- Stronger Together
- Taking IP to Silicon
- Think Liquid
- Imagine it. Done
- Locations. Because Life Moves
- Enabling Innovation (there is a lot of 'enabling')
- Never Stop Thinking (...right?)
- Tomorrow. Inspired
- And probably the best one there: Becoming a Tiger in the IP Jungle. Wow!
Seriously. Do any of these actually mean anything?
