If you're reading this, you may very well be part of the reason that sales figures for gaming magazines in the UK are on the decline. Then again, maybe those magazines just suck. I mean, they are pretty rampant with typos--"colour" and "practise," indeed.

The latest figures from the ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulations) show a general decline across all gaming titles, though some numbers dropped more sharply than others. Taking an especially big hit was Future Publishing's Official Playstation 2 mag, whose numbers fell from 100,117 to 76,351. Well, at least they still have an OPM, ya know? Two 360 magazines, X360 and 360 Gamer both saw slight rises in circulation, but the big winner was Future's Official Nintendo Magazine, whose circulation went up by about seven grand. Congratulations, ONM, a winner is you. Future has said that the decline was expected and chalked it up to the transition to the newer consoles.

Now, I'm old school, so I'll always have an enormous stack of gaming mags lying around the place. There's just something about physically flipping pages that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, but perhaps I'm just one of a dying breed. What about you? Do you favor digital, print, or some combination of the two?
