From the chthonic depths of the ichorous sea, the tentacles of colossal squids are slowly writhing upwards, their suckers hungry for human flesh. Or perhaps not. But giant squids sure seem to be flirting closer and closer with the surface of the ocean.
Earlier today, fisherman managed to land the largest squid ever captured. At 39 feet long and 900 pounds, the massive cephalopod is 330 pounds larger than the largest giant squid ever found.
What's causing these colossal squid to come closer to the surface? Climate change is one theory, but ours is better: something even more horrible is slowly waking in the drowned city where it dreams.
