According to an interview with Capcom icon Keiji Inafune (he made Mega Man, folks...show some respect), Lost Planet and Dead Rising very nearly never saw daylight. Capcom management was hesitate to greenlight the projects because, as Inafune explains, footing a next-gen sized bill for a 360 game tends to make some folks in Japan a wee bit queasy. Fortunately for us, Inafune, refused to let the matter drop:
