Keep it small, keep it cheap: Fujifilm's A820 and A900 Finepixes are designed "specifically for the first-time digital camera buyer," which, in this day and age, surely means "small children."
Both models have a 4x optical zoom, ISO 800, image stabilization (though you have to select a special mode to get it) and a user interface that Fujifilm says takes the guesswork out of camera configuration for those unfamiliar with F-stops, ISO settings, white balance and what-have-you.
Like the new, higher-end S5700, the new snapshotters will accomodate both xD and SD cards. So, what's the difference? The A820 has an 8 megapixel sensor and will cost $180, while the A900 has 9 and a $200 tag.
