Might the bone-conduction trend break big? Thanko of Japan is offering the new Vonia headset for ¥9,800, and while some aren't much impressed with the bone-vibrating product, it's the boring, basic character of these 'phones that suggests an imminent invasion of cheap toys that use the tech.
A refinement of methods long-used in hearing aids, for the hearing-impaired, you'd think it'd be a boon for those who don't want to impair their hearing either. Even the militaries of the world are taking note.
