Back at CES, we reported that Guitar Hero II for the Xbox 360 would likely get a wireless controller, somehow; this week brought further confirmation. The game's associate producer Ted Lange had this amusing exchange with IGN:

__IGN: __Was there a reason for shipping the 360 version with a wired guitar?

__Ted Lange: __ Yeah, if we were to cut the wire off it wouldn't work; though seriously, it would be great to have a wireless guitar just as we did with the PS2 version, and hopefully we'll be able to make it happen for our fans rather shortly.

So maybe it won't ship with the game, but they'll be able to get an aftermarket (possibly unlicensed) version out there as an optional accessory. As I said at the time, Nyko is debuting an unlicensed wireless Xbox 360 pad, so it's possible.
