That is accomplishes this simply by enumerating every bureacratic marketing revision of functionally-identical card formats is bad enough (Supported formats include "CF I, CF II, CF I WA, CF I, CF PRO, CF PRO II, CF Ultra II, CF Extreme, CF Extreme III, CF Extreme IV..."). That it omits major (albeit old) formats entirely, like PC Cards and SmartMedia, makes the implied universality of the device very bad form.
It's otherwise a perfectly good, nearly-all-formats card reader, sold at a fat markup on similar-capable offerings. But the outrageous hypeshite must go. How to Spot a Psychopath has a fuller skewering of the device's claims, and of those who unthinkingly parrot them. That linked review even manages to benchmark the thing, yet still cry out, "Supports 55 different cards!" in its "Pros" list.
