Microsoft will debut it's OMG_I-Want-It IPTV service for the 360 at The Connected Home expo in London March 5-7. IPTV can act as a digital recorder, a la TiVo, allowing gamers to record their favorite shows whilst they're playing a game. Players could also chat over Xbox Live while watching TV, which would be an easy way for long-distance friends to hang out without running up huge phone bills. Just grab your headset, turn on Gray's Anatomy or 24 or Project Runway and it's almost like you're sharing some couch.
The service is due to roll out in Europe before the end of the year.
