Kodak, fresh from revolutionizing the humble business of printing hardware by making the ink cheap, fires of the softwarey side of their imaging double-whammy with a Firefox extention for sharing photos.

Teaming up with the Mozilla Foundation, the Kodak FireFox Companion hooks the brower up to Kodak's EasyShare online photo service. Advertised with such mundane bullet-points as "Easily create a new photo album or add to an existing one," I don't see much to distinguish it from Flickr plus one of the many Flickr uploader widgets, but there you go.

The user-interface (pictured) does look quite neat, and having it intergrated into the "browser experience" might go a long way for some.
