The Locca Access digital door lock might offer none of the swirly special effects and hypnotic music associated with British military research, but if it isn't possible to remotely view faraway WMDs, it is at least possible to remotely open one's front door.
Designed to be installed on existing door frames, once set up, all one needs to is tab the button and the door flings open, as depicted in an instructive animation at the product page, drawn in the style of an airplane safety manual.
19 keys can be "stored" in memory, and you get 2 remote keys with the lock. It has a range of 150 feet and costs £150. ($300)
