Panasonic has revealed a new photo player that displays images on an SD memory card in full HDTV glory.
The HDTV Photo Player DMW-SDP1 hooks up to an HDTV set via standard component cables and can display any photo on an SD card inserted in it. It includes a remote control for browsing images and USB port for hooking up to a Pictbridge-enabled printer. The firmware includes a choice of transition effects and organizing motifs for better slideshows.
Price and availability will be announced later. Target market would seem to be all your older relatives who never tried e-mail but upgraded their TV sets right away.
