The Toronto Globe and Mail has a story today on the fallout from failed PlayStation 3 speculation. Everybody thought that PS3s would be worth their weight in gold, even now, but sagging demand has stuck would-be get-rich-quickers with unsellable hardware:

But two months later, the sleek PlayStation 3 units are collecting dust in Mr. O'Brien's closet ... He is looking at unloading the systems for as little as $600 each to buyers on the on-line classified service, craigslist.org, which would roughly amount to a $1,360 loss.

The article goes on to mention that he probably should have taken all that money and sunk it into the Wii.
