Taiwan-based PC maker Acer has decided to expand its U.S. presence by landing a spot on the shelves of big box chain Best Buy.
The retailer will offer five Acer laptops, ranging from a $500 Celeron model to $850 Core Duo machine.
Acer is the the No. 4 PC maker in the world by revenue and the fastest growing.
As the head of household with not one but two Acer laptops, I can testify that they offer a lot of bang for the buck, and the annoying second-party software that comes loaded on them is relatively easy to nuke.
