I always seem to miss mentioning fun events that I want to promote until well after they've taken place, making me a lame also ran, which I suppose is probably the subscript to my blogger title anyway. So let's go all out on this one: if you've ever fantasized about cross-dressing in a wedding dress and marching in a thousand-strong throng of fellow weirdos through the streets of San Francisco to expose the generic princess wedding for the cliche it is, this weekend's your chance!

Join the 9th Annual Brides of March, as we parade through the heart of San Francisco, strolling through Union Square, shopping at fancy stores and drinking in the local bars. All you need for this event is a white wedding dress. Optional accessories include dead flowers and a good cigar. Don't have a wedding dress? Don't fret: you can easily make one out of toilet paper, which will also help offset the lack of public urinals on parade day.
