Who gets the blame for the PlayStation 3's font being in the same typeface that Sony designed for the Spider-Man movie? Do you have to guess? It's Ken Kutaragi, says PS3 creative designer Teiyu Goto:

Kutaragi, who insisted that I use this typography. In fact, the logo was one of the first elements he decided on and the logo may have been the motivating force behind the shape of PS3.

I don't know if this was the reason Kutaragi was removed from control of the PlayStation business, but it was probably somewhere in one of Stringer's emails.
