Annalee and I have been talking in strange phonemes, slobbered dipthongs and staccato apostrophes. "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn," Annalee said to me the other day. "Totally!" I replied. "Thursday is the best day in the world, I think, to reflect on the merciful inability of the human mind to correlate all of its contents." And so we were agreed.

In short, Thursday is now officially Cthulhu Cthursday at ToM. Every Thursday, Annalee and I will take pains to make at least one or two Cthulhu-centered posts.

Initiating Cthulhu Cthursday is this incredible French comic strip, Cthulhu Vs. The Tumbleweed Kid by Dan Christensen, in which the tentacled elder god from beyond space and time awakens from R'lyeh and travels to the old west to do battle with a Lone Ranger like masked vigilante!

It's in French, so you may have to stick a Babelpollywog in your ear. But even if you don't read French, you'll soon get the gyst.

Happy Cthulhu Cthursday, everyone!
