Electronic Arts announced today that it would bring Boogie, a dancing/karaoke game, to Wii this year. Players will use the Wiimote and nunchuk to make the bizarre characters seen above dance to what will surely be a host of licensed EA Trax. The game is developed by "Army of Two" creators EA Montreal.

No mention was made of how, exactly, singing will be involved, but considering that the Wii does not currently have a microphone peripheral, take this as further notice that one is on the way. Likewise, the press release says that gamers will be able to "star in their own music videos," with no further information on how exactly that is going to happen.
