Bittorrent on Macs means using Azureus. The alternatives are either rubbish or don't work right (I'm looking at you, Transmission!), at least with my setup. But Az feels fat and slow, hence my interest in the Procare e|share ES-8068, a dedicated BT box to take up the strain of downloading stuff.

Just throw it on your network, hook up a USB hard drive, and log in to the web admin and point it to the torrents. The price isn't outrageous, at $85, assuming one has already made a committment to outsourcing the job to external hardware. Assuming your computer costs $5 to run a month, if you're leaving it on permanently just for the sake of p2p, it could even pay for itself in a couple of years.

Note that it also shares the hard drives you plug into it, making it a possible competitor to Linksys's el cheapo $100 NAS box, the thoroughly-hackable NSLU2.
