Apple released a new version of iTunes this week, but you still better not let it get anywhere near Windows Vista.
Version 7.1 of iTunes adds support for Apple TV and an improved album-sorting function, but it can still corrupt your iPod if you plug it into a Vista PC. It's particularly risky to use the "safely remove hardware" widget in Vista.
Apple says it's working with Microsoft to iron out the incompatibilities, but there's no timetable for release of a Vista-safe iTunes.
