Financial mavens Barron's have named Nintendo's Satoru Iwata as one of the world's best CEOs. Barron's points to the success of the Wii as its reason for naming Iwata to the list, which includes the likes of Steve Jobs and Rupert Murdoch:

While rivals Microsoft and Sony engaged in a hardware war to develop more powerful videogame platforms, Nintendo came up with an elegant and popular alternative in Wii -- and Nintendo shares have nearly doubled in the past year.

I guess there are worse reasons for patting someone on the back than leading your company to a six billion dollar "cash hoard," as Barron's puts it.
