I did actually take the plunge, downloaded the app, created an account, etc. ... It's a short list of the best stuff in each city. That being said, a fair amount of the stuff included on their San Diego best-of lists is great ... The other cool thing is that, once you create an account, you can comb through the entirety of their listings and make up your own little database of stuff (which they call a "travel bag") that can then be uploaded to the iPod along with their best-of choices. So, in that sense, if you take the time to plan ahead before your trip, you really can have whatever info you might need. As far as the listings themselves, you get name, address, phone, website, transit info, open hours, credit card info, and a one-paragraph review (some are really astute, some seem tossed off). Anyway, the fact that you can customize it really makes it seem worthwhile to me.
