Quantum Leap Awards Want Your Nintendo Nominees

Gamasutra is putting together another one if its Quantum Leap awards, and this time it's looking in Nintendo's direction. Previous Leap awards have honored the FPS, the RPG, storytelling, the most important games of 2006, and multiplayer games. Now, for the next installment, they want to know:

"Which Nintendo-created video game has made the biggest 'quantum leap' for the game industry? Which aspects of its design and execution spurred the game biz to greater things?"

You'll be asked to justify your answer, of course, so have something better than "Kirby rulz!" prepared. The best answers will be bundled together in an article to appear later on the site. If you're squeamish about seeing your name on the Internets, you can always reply anonymously.
