Nintendo is still struggling to meet consumer demand for the Wii, thanks to the little console's ability to entice non-gamers.Nintendo Europe's senior marketing director Laurent Fischer said:
Fischer attributed the dearth of Wiis to the unit's "recruiting power," which he described as "even more powerful than anyone had guessed."
By now, we all know that legions on non-gamers have been tickled pink by Wii Sports, but I have to wonder--once the honeymoon is over, and the rush of bowling with a Wiimote has worn off, will they still love their Wii, or will it end up shoved in the back of a closet somewhere? Selling a bazillion consoles is great, but ultimately useless if the software stays on the shelves. What do you folks think? Will the love affair last?
