Water Sheer's Sulis personal water purifier is a 2.7" cup that attaches to a bottle, quickly sifting dangerous contaminants from the liquid whenever it's chugged. Designed for use in the developing world, rife as water-borne illnesses remain there, the tiny devices would be useful by soldiers, hikers, mountaineers, and by the general public during natural disasters.
Here's their R&D chief, Ron Shani:
The makers need a hardware partner to crank 'em out, which will lower the cost for a single Sulis to about the price of a trip to Starbucks.
This definitely goes into the zombia apocalypse survival kit.
