Verizon subscriber and 27B reader PB asked the ISP to explain in detail, beyond the legalese of its subscriber agreement, how it handles internet usage data and IP addresses. Verizon proudly claims that "Verizon informs customers how information Verizon obtains about them is used, as well as their options regarding its use." But Verizon customer service represenative 'Lily' politely told PB, Slashdot-style, to RTFA.
That document does not answer any of the questions asked and the "Internet Privacy Policy" applies only to Verizon.com website. Verizon was first asked by this blog about its use of customer data almost two weeks ago and has yet to get any answer, let alone a dismissive one from Lily.
