Xbox Live is coming down next Tuesday, March 27, for fourteen hours while they tighten some screws and replace some fan belts. Starting at 3:00 am EDT, you'll lose access to Xbox Live, Xbox.com, and the Xbox forums, but once again, Major Nelson assures us that it's solely for maintenance, not for a dashboard update. That's coming in the spring, he says.
To make up for the enforced downtime, Microsoft has come up with a proposed list of activities, including going shopping, listening to podcasts, or nominating a friend (like me) for Trixie's Gamer Spotlight.
