• Cult of Mac now believes in the bulging MacBook Pro battery problem. They should have just asked me: my battery started bulging like a pregnant sow six months ago and airplane security was reluctant to even let me on the plan, saying "This battery looks tampered with."

• Game|Life reports that 3D Realms has finally admitted that Duke Nukem Forever is an industry joke. They say they set the bar too high and are now taking a "more realistic look" at the project, streamlining the number of ways you can "use" a virtual stripper.

• Interesting questions on genetically engineering your child's sexual orientation. It's a hotbed topic, but one thing that surprised me once was a lesbian I once knew claimed that she'd often wondered, if she had a child, how she'd feel about such treatment. Her argument made a sad amount of sense: parents want their children to live easy lives, and being straight is easier than being gay (because of societal pressures and prejudices, etc.) Hopefully, in a few years, such an observation will no longer have a glimmer of truth to it.
