Apple Says Late June for iPhone

The press release announcing the delay of OS X 10.5 Leopard includes this line: iPhone has already passed several of its required certification tests and is on schedule to ship in late June as planned.... So, that's a double disappointment, although at least we know for sure that it will be here in time for summer (if we can actually get hold of one, that is).

IphoneicalYesterday's bad news for Apple lovers has at least confirmed a release date for the iPhone. The press release announcing the delay of OS X 10.5 Leopard includes this line:

iPhone has already passed several of its required certification tests and is on schedule to ship in late June as planned.

That's right, people. Late June, which squarely puts the brakes on all the June 11 speculation. So, that's a double disappointment, although at least we know for sure that it will be here in time for summer (if we can actually get hold of one, that is).
