Battlestar Galactica Mod Available for Download

Beyond the Red Line is an ambitious conversion for Freespace 2 based on--hang on, I might swoon--Battlestar Galactica. No, no, not the one with Dirk Benedict and Lorne Greene, the new one. The good one. A demo of the game allows players to craft their own levels, or they can try out the custom levels provided by the developers. Here's the plot as the devs describe it:

Drafted and pressed into service, your only hope of survival is to fall in line and train to join the ranks of the elite Viper pilots of
Battlestar Pegasus. Get a taste of the action that awaits you in the upcoming main campaign with intense single- and multiplayer missions.
Will you become one of Pegasus’ elite, or will you give your life in the vast, cold battleground of deep space?

If you haven't seen all of Season 2 of BG, you're not only going to be a bit lost, but you'll also be subjected to some spoilers, so fair warning. The demo offers three standalone, single-player missions, and comes in, PC, Mac, or Linux flavors.
