NBC is releasing segments of Cho's video statements, which were reportedly contained in 27 QuickTime video files that were linked into a hypertext version of his 1,800-word manifesto at the appropriate places. The network has also released some of the 29 photos Cho sent in the package, including the one above.
The name on the return address was "A. Ishmael", which makes it clear for the first time that the mysterious phrase found written written on his arm represents an alter ego.
From Cho's statements:
__Update: __NBC has now released five selected pages of the 23-page manifesto that Cho sent as a PDF file -- with adult language blacked-out to conform with NBC's standards and practices.
Of interest is page 11, which includes the sentence: "You wanna rape us John Mark Karrs? You wanna rape us Debra LaFaves? (Redacted) you." John Mark Karr is the former substitute teacher who made a false confession in the unsolved murder of JonBenét Ramsey. Debra LaFave is a former teacher who pleaded guilty to having sexual relations with a 14-year-old student in 2005.
The same page includes the phrase "Number of the Anti-Terrorist" above a hand drawing of the number 88. Eighty-eight was also used as the house number in the apparently-false return address on the envelope. According to Wikipedia, "Eighty-eight is used as code among white supremacists to identify each other. H is the 8th letter of the alphabet, so 88 is taken to stand for HH which in turn means Heil Hitler."
Though given his disjointed manifesto and the insanity of Cho's final acts, it's possible none of this meant anything outside of his mind.
