CNN podcaster, blogger, medical expert and cable news heartthrob Dr. Sanjay Gupta discussing the future on Larry King: “There's something known as Moore's Law, which means our knowledge of scientific knowledge doubles every five years. We know more -- we know twice as much now than we did in 1997.”
Check that, people watching that broadcast now know three times less about technology. Moore’s Law actually states, “the number of transistors on a chip doubles about every two years.” Until The Singularity hits and we merge with Vista, transistor power doesn’t equal “knowledge.” Nice try Gupta, but your geek cred has suddenly plunged to Amanda Congdon levels.
