Cheap, crappy cameras are now tiny, meaning that you can put them into almost any form factor. Jasco's latest design, the Collapsible Web Camera, is very clever, but close inspection reveals how much extra bulk there is in the design. That said, the triple-hinged mechanism can swivel and tilt any which way, and has four blue LEDs to brighten the scene.
The cam, $32 in black or white, records 640x480-resolution scenes at 30fps and includes a condenser mic. It also comes with ArcSoft Webcam Companion software and clips onto laptop lids up to half an inch thick.
