John Dvorak's iSkepticism continues with an alleged leak, sourced to a Cingular rep, which claims that under tests, iPhone batteries are crapping out after 40 minutes. Dvorak made the claims in a recent episode of popular podcast This Week in Tech. Moreover, the phone itself is said to be in a poor state only months before release, with "lots of issues" and a screwy interface.
Though I'm sick of the hype too, I can't even grunt out an accessory "hoo!" for this one. It's more of a noncomittal "enh," if not a fully-formed "bah!" The battery problem, if it's real (rather than because, say, they're testing units with throwaway test batteries), will be fixed. And anyone who thinks Apple will allow the interface to be twitchy is just banging their shoe on the desk.
