Ff1_92The "remastered" versions of Final Fantasy I and II for PSP will hit the US on June 26 and July 24, respectively, Square Enix announced today.

Square Enix also released the first English screenshots of the game and included one interesting bit from the game's menu screen: apparently, you'll be able to play the game through in Japanese if you want. (Proof here.)

Of course, what this most likely means is that the region-free Japan editions of the games, the first of which ships this week, will also have dual language support. Probably. I'm not going to buy them -- Lord, I've already bought and played FFI on the Wonderswan, the PSone, and the Game Boy -- but if one of you guys buys the Japan game, let me know if it's got the English.
